?Quarter Past Eleven EP? by the Polish producer Slg (Lukasz Seliga) merges minimal textures and funky glitch house elements, serving a perfect mélange of uplifting beats with deep and gentle atmospheres. Rich bass lines and organ-like chords unfold in warm close-up intimacy and, energized by the minimal changes in beat, produce a flowing experience of timelessness. The here & now drifts off into reveries and is expanding ever wider into spherical overtones. However, to counteract getting lost in detachment, all four of the tracks on the EP redirect motion either by taking a surprising turn or by repeatedly being on the verge of establishing a new theme: thus reawakened, opening one?s eyes, the embodied mind re-collects in contentment and a smile of serenity. The ?Quarter Past Eleven EP? is directed toward the multidimensional dance floor. Highly functional ? very funky & deep. Releasedate: 18.7.2005
